Deena's Bad Day: the srs plot effort
I'm keeping this relatively sparse to avoid spoiling Marissa for the outcome of the still in progress House thread aka Meanwhile in Canada. Long story short: After having A Time dealing with their own trouble (but ultimately triumphing) in mid-October, Darnell and Sam have some time around the tail end of the month to tool around Houston. Darnell lives there for a portion of the year, and has family in the area; Sam has never been before (barring a brief stint when that recent trouble began!) and so remains pleased to have the opportunity to see around the city. They'll be stopping in at Deena's Walmart to pick up some normal groceries, etc.
What do we know so far? I'm sure to be forgetting things:
- A LOT of Deena's staff are adepts. They include a rage mage, a dipsomancer who's a bit of a wine aunt, and a rat mage from whatever that minor school was called.
- Deena's assistant manager is an Unspeakable Servant in a morph suit. It looks... fairly human, thanks to being on a plastic skeleton (to keep the right shape and range of motion) with make-up sponges hot-glued to the skull (to give the shape of facial features)
- Lunchbox Zero came in with a load of stock.... so what ought to have been washing machines or what-have-you results in a number of lunchboxes loose.
Infy was kind enough to volunteer to play the mechanomancer responsible, when Darnell, Deena & Co. track that person down in the sequel thread, which is bound to be ridiculous.
